Being a teenage is hard, but to add the burden of cancer... its unimaginable
Christa did this and more with a smile on her face and a positive attitude that lit up the room everywhere she went. She was constantly there for others and would have given the shirt off her back if someone needed it, without ever asking for anything in return. I remember I first met Christa and I walked away thinking that I had rarely met a person so strong, intelligent, and kind. After a while of mutual friends, facebook, and testing together due to our names being in the same area of the alphabet she ended up being a friend that I would not trade for the whole world. She could talk about anything with anyone but the love of the red sox, and various shows on TV were always interesting. She was also political, and what ever side you were on she was able to argue hard and intelligently. She had it all, Christa will be someone who will live with everyone who ever knew her. She has made me and many others better people. I hope that one day a cure can be made so that one one this good ever has to be taken away so soon. Thank you, Christa for being a friend, you are the definition of courage and strength.
Love and Remember you always,
Erin Van Houten
